Our Story

We are a group of young school-going citizens. Many of us are first-time voters. Our future appears grim, with the full force of climate change's impacts hitting our generation. Climate impacts of droughts, floods, and extreme weather events will increase and threaten a large part of our country. Our Honourable Prime Minister committed to a Net Zero future for India by 2070, with a 45% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 at COP 26. He said it could only be done with all our support. We believe in 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,' which means 'The World is One family.'  It emphasises a global perspective, prioritising the collective well-being over individual interests. Municipal Corporations play a crucial role in Green Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) and their reduction. Every year, each municipal corporation puts together a financial budget to conduct its civic functions. A part of this annual financial budget should be set aside to reduce GHGs relevant to their domain, such as Green-certified buildings, clean energy, EVs, Biogas, Waste management, Heat-reflecting paints, Green roofs, Green materials, and Tree planting.
